CAR SERVICE PROTECTION ARRANGEMENT
FIELD OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a general arrangement for protecting a car during maintenance or repair, as defined in the preamble of protection claim 1. The invention mainly relates to the protection of the front paint surface, exterior surfaces and other front structures of passenger cars, SUVs and vans during maintenance or repair. Many car manufacturers have defined car maintenance standards for their own car brands. Car repair shops around the world must follow the instructions and standards issued by car manufacturers. The car maintenance instructions for many car brands stipulate that external frontal protection must be used during car maintenance. The use of frontal protection during maintenance is monitored at car service outlets by car factories and car importers. The use of protection is monitored by on-site audits. According to the standards, the front of the car must be protected during the procedure during car maintenance. S 25 S In general use, there are various covers that cover the front or part of the car. Different car models have their own - model-specific front guards. There are many car models, which is why car repairers or similar car maintenance and repair companies may have to obtain protection for 5 different car models if the company wants to service different car brands in accordance with the regulations.
The covers are usually made of some suitable flexible sheet-like material, such as faux leather or thick fabric.
The material can also be made of two layers and made by combining different materials.
The guards of different manufacturers differ at least according to the materials of manufacture, the cuts and the hanging methods.
The model-specific guards are easy to design to suit the car model, because the guard does not have to be adjustable and, for example, the fastening members of the guard can be placed in fixed positions according to each car model.
The problem with the use of model-specific covers is that there are so many car models that acquiring covers for different car models can become an expensive investment.
In addition, retrieving, using and storing shields from different car brands at a workshop can take up unnecessary working time.
There are also universal front guards that are suitable for many different car models.
Their use is used to replace the purchase of several model-specific front guards and to save on purchases.
However, such shelters have their own problems.
Various adjustable guards are already known, with flexible fastening methods which can be used to fasten guards to a wide variety of cars.
With universal protection, 5 installers repairing cars of different makes do not have to apply for protection suitable for different car models during the day, which increases car maintenance productivity when installers do not have the extra time to apply for different protection.
However, the problem with the well-known universal guards & 30 is that they do not fit and fit well in all cars of different and different sizes.
The guards N should fit well according to the shape of the car so that the guard cannot move and cause possible scratches.
This is often a problem especially in smaller cars. In the design of universal guards, the challenge is to make the guard engage and adjust well according to several car models. However, the current known adjustable guards are therefore not very suitable for use with a wide variety of car makes or models. The protection arrangement according to the invention is intended as a general protection which can be adjusted according to the shapes and other features of different car models. The adjustability, which is an essential part of universal protection, also creates new requirements for the location of the fastening elements of the protection, because the fastening elements must fit into the fastening points of many different cars. In known guards intended to be universal, the location of the fastening members does not necessarily make it possible to fasten the guard to very many different cars. It would be advantageous to use movable fastening members which can be arranged in different ways according to the needs of different cars.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Car Front Guards are car guards designed for use by installers to protect the front of a vehicle during maintenance and repair procedures. The purpose of the guards is to create a working environment for installers that allows them to work in the area of the front of the car without damaging the car's paintwork. Frontal protection is well known in the art and its use is required and controlled by many car manufacturers. & 30 5 Various front guards are already known, with different ways of covering the front of the car. The protection can be done with one or more separate protection parts. In addition, the differences are made by the materials of manufacture, the cuts in the shape of the shields and the suspension mechanisms. Some manufacturers have relied on magnetic fasteners, but the development of cars has reduced the number of fastening points that are favorable for magnets in cars, as lighter plastic and aluminum have increased in car structures.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned problems and to provide a front guard suitable for many car models which remains reliably in place and provides good protection during maintenance or repair.
The object of the present invention is to hang the front cover of the car in a new adaptive manner so that the cover fits most car makes and models. This protection uses fastening means which can be fastened to the adhesive tape and which are easy to place in the desired places. Such fastening members may be, for example, various hooks, weights, such as sand weights, straps or strips or pads, etc.
The arrangement according to the invention is characterized by what is shown in the characterizing part of protection claim 1. Other embodiments of the invention are characterized by what is stated in the other claims. OF I
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention relates to a car maintenance protection arrangement, which N comprises at least a frontal protection element arranged to be adapted to protect the front of the car so that the frontal protection system
the element is on the front of the car. The frontal protection element is arranged to be fastened to the car by holding members which can be fastened in different places at the top of the frontal protection element. Said holding members are, for example, hook-like or belt-like members arranged to be fastened to the adhesive tape at the top of the front protection element. The arrangement further comprises side protection elements arranged on the sides of the front of the car and the front protection element is attached to the side protection elements by means of Velcro strips.
ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION One of the major advantages of the car frontal protection system according to the invention is that the system significantly facilitates the protection of various cars during maintenance or repair, as the system is universal and adjustable and is therefore suitable for use in small cars and SUVs, regardless of brand. as well as light trucks. The advantage is therefore that one protection arrangement can be used in several different cars, which saves costs when several different protection is not required. In addition, working time is saved when the installer can focus on car maintenance and does not consume time by applying for model-specific protection for different cars. One of the advantages of the solution according to the invention is also the speed of installation of the service cover and the ease of installation. Due to the saved working time - the productivity of the car maintenance company will also improve. Another advantage is that the guards become used more because of their ease, with the consequence that service and repair shops receive fewer error points in audits carried out by car factories or importers. Another advantage is that the protection arrangement fits in different cars according to the shapes of the car, so that the service protection cannot move, which reduces the possibility of scratches.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The invention will now be described in more detail by means of one embodiment with reference to the accompanying simplified drawings, in which Fig. 1 shows a front view and a simplified front protection element according to the invention, Fig. 2 shows a rear view and a simplified view of Fig. 1. and a simplified side protection element according to the arrangement according to the invention, Fig. 4 shows a side view and a simplified side protection element according to the arrangement according to the invention, o Fig. 5 shows a side view of a car with O side protection elements according to the invention shows a side view of a car with front & sides fitted with & front protection elements according to the invention, to which are additionally attached 5 front protection elements according to the invention and 8> ”
g Fig. 7 is a side view of a car in which additional side protection elements according to the invention are arranged on the sides of the front part.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Fig. 1 shows a front view and Fig. 2 a rear view of one preferred front protection element according to the invention, the front side of which is preferably, for example, artificial leather and the back side foam. The front protective element 1 is a cover-like element comprising a central part 1a, on the sides of which side parts 1b are sewn. Between the central part 1a and the side parts 1b there are seams 2 formed by sewing, at which the side parts 1a easily fold relative to the central part 1a. In the front protection element 1, the side parts 1b are at a small angle to the central part 1a at the seams 2. Thanks to such a three-part structure and design, the front protection element 1 is well suited for many different cars. The side parts 1b of the front protection element 1 can easily be turned at the seams 2 behind the central part 1a if, for example, protection is desired away from the front lights of the car. Alternatively, the front protection element 1 could also have nets, flaps or the like at the car's headlights. > N 25 The front protective element 1 is shaped and sewn so that the inserts 1b are at a suitable angle to the central part 1a. N Due to such a structure, the front protection element 1 can be fitted on the front parts of various cars so that it 2 rests and fits on the front part of the car tightly, thus shaping the shapes of the car. The angle A of the side parts 1b with respect to the central part 1a is 10-40 degrees, suitably 15-30 degrees and preferably about 20 degrees.
At the upper edge of the front part of the front protective element 1 there is a velcro strip for the holding members of the element, which acts as a connecting member 3 of substantially the entire width of the element. Attached to the backs of the side portions 1b of the front protective element 1 are adhesive strips substantially the entire width of the side portions 1b acting as a connecting member 4, one vertically to the center of each side portion 1b and the other to the top of each side portion 1b.
Figure 3 shows a side view of one preferred side protection element according to the invention, the front side of which is also preferably, for example, artificial leather and the back side foam foam. The side protection element 5 is shaped so that the lower edge of its front part is lower than the lower edge of the rear part of the element.
Thus, the rear part of the side protection element 5 does not extend downwards, like the front part. The design of the lower edge of the front part of the side protection element 5 is further curved. Thanks to such a design, the side protection element 5 can be adapted to the sides of cars of different and different sizes to conform to the front tire of the car and the element does not come in front of the front tire regardless of the size of the car. The front edge of the side protection element 5 comprising the adhesive tape 6 is not necessarily vertical, as shown in Fig. 3, but may also be at a suitable angle to the vertical. This angle is, for example, between 0 and 20 degrees.
S 25 S The side protection element 5 comprises, at its front edge, a velcro strip acting as a vertical connecting member - 6, which is substantially the entire height of the element. In addition, at the upper edge E of the side protection element 5, there are a number of holding members 7 in the lateral direction. The two holding members closest to the rear edge of the element are provided with N Velcro strips acting as a connecting member 8. All or part of the holding members 7 are provided with weights by means of which the side protection element 5 is arranged to remain tightly on the side of the car when the holding members 7 are fitted over the edges of the open engine room of the car. The weights are, for example, sand fitted inside the element, which is closed inside the element by sewing. In addition, the holding members other than those closest to the rear edge may be provided with velcro strips or the like acting as connecting members. In addition, the front part of the side protection element 5 preferably has a removable holding member, such as a hook.
Figure 4 shows a side view and a simplified view of an additional side protection element belonging to the arrangement according to the invention, the front side of which is also preferably, for example, artificial leather and the back side is made of foam plastic. The additional side protection element 11 is structured and designed so that it can be used with the side protection element 5 or especially in smaller cars with the front protection element 1 without the side protection elements 5. The additional side protection element 11 is very quick to mount on the car mirror. In the upper upper corner of the additional side protection element 11 there is a velcro strip acting as a connecting member 14 and a holding member 13 next to it. A removable holding member, such as a hook, is arranged to be attached to the front part of the additional side protection element 11. = 25 the holding member 13 is, for example, a sand weight. 5 Lisäsivu- protective element 11 for the side cover element 5 with a possible also to protect the parts of the hinge side of the door, where: - the installer, for example, to change the windscreen or E pyyhkimensul- technique. The additional side protection element 11 is shaped in such a way that it & 30 is well suited for different car makes and models alone and 5 together with the side protection element 5. The additional side protection element N 11 is substantially rectangular in shape, but at its upper edge, substantially in the middle of the element,
an extension 15 which allows the element to be better fitted to the sides of different cars. This will be further described later in the explanatory section of Figure 7.
Fig. 5 shows a side view of a car with side protection elements according to the invention arranged on the sides of the front part, and Fig. 6 shows a side view of a car with side protection elements according to the invention arranged on the sides of the front part, to which a front protection element according to the invention is attached. The side protection element 5 is arranged on the side of the car according to the ring opening in the front of the fender, whereby the side protection element 5 is in the right place and does not disturb the installer in his work. The holding members 7 are arranged on the edge of the open engine room of the car. The holding member closest to the rear edge of the element is partially arranged under the edge of the car hood, whereby the hood holds the element in place from the rear edge of the element. The other holding members remain on the edge of the engine room by means of their weights. The holding members 7 are arranged to be folded in such a way that each holding member can be folded separately, for example under the upper edge of the side protection element 5, if it is, for example, interfering with some maintenance work. In the situation of Fig. 6, the side protection element is further provided with a holding member 10, which is a belt fastened to the adhesive strip S 25 and arranged to rotate S around the hood fixing rod.
e r In the situation of Fig. 6, a hook and a belt acting as holding members & 30 9 and 10 are also attached to the adhesive tape 3 at the upper edge a of the front protection element 1. The point of attachment of these holding members 5 and 10 and their number can be freely selected N in the adhesive tape 3, whereby the front protection element 1 can be easily and quickly
the front edge of the car.
In addition, other suitable holding means, such as magnets, can be used as the holding members 9.
The front protection element 1 is fastened to the vertical velcro straps 6 of the front edges of the side protection elements 5 by means of velcro straps 4 on its back. The fastening can be done easily and quickly by means of velcro straps. in which case it cannot move and rub against the surface of the car if, for example, a maintenance man leans on it while moving.
The mutual attachment points of the Velcro strips 4 and 6 can be easily adjusted, as a result of which the front protective element 1 can be fastened tightly and firmly to cars of different sizes and widths and no disturbing wrinkles, for example, are formed on the cover.
Figure 7 is a side view of a car with an additional side protection element according to the invention arranged on the second side of the front part.
The additional side protection element 11 is fastened from its mounting hole 12 to the side mirror of the car and the holding member 13 is arranged on the edge of the engine room of the car.
The mounting hole 12 is shaped so that the additional side protection element 11 can be easily and firmly fitted from the mounting hole 12 to the mirror.
In addition, the additional side protection element 11 = 25 can be fastened, for example, by a holding member to be attached to the adhesive tape 14, such as a hook, a strap or the like, to the edge of the machine room of the car.
The recess 15 in the additional side protection element 11 facilitates the fitting of the element a to the side of the car, since the recess 15 strikes the car hood & 30 mounting rod, whereby said hood mounting rod does not interfere with the installation of the element. 8> ”
The connecting members 3, 4, 6, 8 and 14 and the holding members 7, 9, 10 and 13 of the car maintenance protection arrangement according to the invention are also collectively referred to as means for locating and adjusting the protection elements 1, 5, 11 in a substantially precise and correct position. - Leen. Not all of the above-mentioned means are necessarily needed, but there may be fewer different means than those mentioned above. In addition, some of the means may be detachable and attachable to the protective elements 1, 5, 11 at desired locations, and some of the means may be fixed to the protective elements 1, 5, 11. It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that the various embodiments of the invention are not limited to the examples set forth above, but may vary within the scope of the claims set forth below. Thus, for example, the different protection elements of the protection arrangement may be different in structure, design and material than those described above. For example, the structure of the frontal protection element may be, for example, one-piece, two-piece, four-piece or the like instead of a three-piece structure. The main idea is that the front protection element is very adaptable and fits well into different cars, adapting to the shape of the car. It is also clear to a person skilled in the art that instead of adhesive tapes, other suitable fastening means can be used in the various protective elements.
